We are recruiting to fill the positions below:

Job Title: Coop Technician I

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Recruitment Type: National (2-year renewable contract)

Duties
Under the supervision of the Executives, the successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:

  • Handle loan application and process for the supervisor’s review and recording.
  • Assist in the daily update of payment register, prepare and file payment voucher.
  • Assist in the entry of transactions into the Accounting System.
  • Assist in recording monthly deduction into members ledgers and proper filing of documents.
  • Attend to queries as may be directed.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualification

  • ATS/National Diploma in Accounting or finance related field plus minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a related role.

Competencies
The ideal candidate must have:

  • Good computer skills with a good grasp of MS office applications (Ms Excel, Ms Word) with good knowledge and use of Accounting Application.
  • Good understanding and articulate with figures.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to keep confidential information.

Job Title: Coop Technician II

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Recruitment Type: National (2-year renewable contract)

Duties
Under the supervision of the Executives, the successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:

  • Handle the society’s sales and purchase transactions i.e complete recording and documentation of such sales and purchases;
  • Prepare and issue of Coop Guest House invoice and receipt;
  • Keep accurate records of Coop Guest House transactions;
  • Maintain a register of members’ direct payments to the bank;
  • Record monthly deduction into members ledger and prompt update of records;
  • Assist in data entry of transactions into the Accounting System;
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by the Supervisors.

Qualifications

  • ATS / National Diploma in Accounting or Finance related field plus minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a related role.

The ideal candidate must have:

Job Title: Assistant Coop – Administrator

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Recruitment Type: National (2-year renewable contract)

Duties
Under the supervision of the Executives, the successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:

  • Prepare monthly deduction schedule for Payroll Unit use;
  • Prepare monthly Bank and Personal Account with IITA (PA) reconciliation statements;
  • Assist the Administrator in the day-to-day management of society operations;
  • Upload transactions into the accounting system;
  • Attend to queries from Cooperative members, Internal and External Auditors;
  • Provide schedule balances of figures in the management accounts to auditors during audit exercises;
  • Perform daily call-up review of members’ transactions, records, and balances in respect of the previous day’s activities and provision of a report on the same to the Administrator;
  • Provide support to Administrator in generating timely relevant reports needed for decision making in activities of the society;
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Executives.

Qualifications

  • BSc/HND Cooperative Studies and Management, Accounting or Business Management, PE II ICAN. Possession of ACA or ACCA would be an added advantage.
  • The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a related role.

Competencies:
The ideal candidate must have:

  • Excellent computer skills in the use of financial applications (Oracle or Peachtree, QuickBooks or other accounting software)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with advanced written and verbal communication
  • skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and excellent team working skills with less supervision.
